I caught this at the Contemporary flash design website, he had a feature on Papervision.

And gave an example of it at a the Dixie Chicks websit, while there has been a long standing barrier for full 3D use on the internet, rendered in good quality or realtime - both in all cases of real 3D required hefty downloads for the category they were to fit in - this technology could open the door wide open.

It's the talk of Germany, the org which was announced by David Miscavige at the New Years celebration has had it's grand opening and is absolutely spectacular.

There are 1000s of kilimeter of bushfire occuring in Australia. Five bushfires began roughly 5 days ago, 2 have joinned and the scene is yet not under control.

There is a great of assistance still needed on the ground. There have been Scientology Volunteer Ministers organized in the area but a great deal more is needed. Human rights entering West Africa

Good works of Youth for Human Rights International down in West Africa with a trip from Tim Bowles, Incoming Foundation Director for International Development and Director of Youth For Human Rights International, had accepted an invitation to return to Ghana and Liberia from October 22 to November 8 in order to meet with government ministries, educators, students, like-minded human rights leaders and the media to determine the opportunities and assess the barriers to nationwide human rights education in the primary and secondary schools.

Mr. Bowles will be lecturing on human rights at the University of Liberia in Monrovia also leading a forum on human rights education at the U.N.-run Buduburum Refugee Camp in Central District Ghana, holding some 42,000 Liberians displaced from the civil war in their home country.

Kind of odd all on it's own but I rather like it actually. The combination seemingly accidental is obviously thought through with the yellow on blue and the white 'bringing out the white,' it's quite calm and actually quite cool. I wonder if they ever got used?

Taking a look at some architecture today and I found this Scientology church in Johannesburg actually rather stunning.

I was taking a look at the keynote speech by David Miscavige for it's grand opening event and it's really amazing. The amount of importance given to South Africa and it's role in affecting this world is really quite beautiful.

Building it self really represents that dream. Take a look at the rest of their building in tour section.

Sliding on the homefront

Taking a look at ye ol' Tate Museum today, they've got an interesting "exhibit," reminiscent of McDonalds American "play places" and some sort of space opera. The museum featuring classic and contemporary art is the home to many fascinating exhibits but this one has enough user participation to take the cake.

And as aside, a few blocks away a newly renovated masterpiece (Architect: Edward l’Anson) 146 Queen Victoria street has been opened up by the Church of Scientology London. The church was opened by a number of leaders in the area and David Miscavige. Check out more on that here.

The World's Most Published and Most Translated Author

This is what I call prolific art. Author, musician, philosopher and photographer L. Ron Hubbard was honoured recently at the Frankfurt book fair with two world records. One confirming he is the world's most published author with 1084 titles and the other being that he is the worlds most translated author with published work in 71 languages breaking the previous record of 65 held again by himself.

From the viewpoint of someone working with creative, that is rather incredible. The amount of works produced is incredible. Taking into account that many of his works are far from small publications. Take for example Battlefield Earth, 1000 page epic in the year 3000, or his dekalogy (10 volume series) at 1.2 million words. That's 11 of the 1084 published titles, not including any of his possible unpublished works.

With the quantity and quality of writing, not including any of his thousands of lectures, films or music, L. Ron Hubbard stands as one the great artists of all times.

The GIMP

Someone in my office is newly on a Linux system gave the GIMP a whirl.
Much to his surprise he's enjoying it, he even finds it moderately intuitive actually. While he's had experience with art programs before and is a bit on the techy side of things, the speed in which he could see what was going on was actually a much short curve than what he'd experienced in most art programs.

While it has only been a cursory use and review, the program looks promissing for smaller projects and possible automated image work implementation.

Could use some better marketing though.

This is good work. It's an aesthetic presentation of the product, brilliant colors and while not likely to be product shots put into the photoshop, much more likely to be renderings, it still looks like the real deal + swooshyness.

I'd buy the hotpink swoosh of the candied apple player.

Mona Lisa bearing

Scientists look at art differently, that's for sure. But definitely some interesting detail in this.

Mona Lisa has apparently just give birth to her 2nd child. Through infrared light and 3D technology they found a of gauze dress, thin and transparent which was worn following or during pregnancy. Also a not on the hair "hanging loose" it is supposed now that she's wearing a bonnet and only a few curls escape. Good news for the time period, makes her 1) not a child and 2) not of 'poor virtue.'

Most notably the piece was painted very thinly on wood and so difficult to see the brush strokes to discern the styles used in making the painting.

"It's extremely thinly painted and extremely flat, and yet the details of the curls of hair, for example are extremely distinct. So the technique is unlike anything we've ever seen before. Leonardo was in a league of his own," he said.

I like the work, the pencil work is nice even though it's not quite a Disney fish.

I don't think this is the music scene but it appears to be a music scene.

Found someone while waiting for the elevator today who was listening to some middle eastern/turkish/romanian gypsy/death metal/funk on his oversized headphones and nameless brand CD player. I asked about it and he mentioned a few bands off the top of his head, the band he was listening to was Estradasphere. Made some mentions of of Eric and CHIPs in relation to them but that didn't make all that much sense.

He did mention the record label was Web of Mimicry, or former apparently but still related. They are about what I expected for eclecticity of the music - definitly a freedom of expression kind of bunch.

When I look for what's happening in art today, I see the creativness and exploration in the field which is always on going and vital for the future. But what's the popular topic in art? Copyrights, or more accurately the abuse of them.

The image featured is a service announcement of Human Right #27 - Copyright.

While mainly the concern in the music industry due to digital distribution of music and becoming more of a concern in the area of film as well. But this is also getting in to the realm of fine arts. While the the real thing is generally still appreciated over a dup even when it's a fully fledged real to the touch duplicate, a print of prestine quality, they are likely found to be thought of as nothing more than neat in the eyes of many a connoisseur.

But outside of this and that opinion, the case in this matter is that it's criminal. If you produced some kind of goods and I took them away from you with no exchange, this would be considered criminal.

So from this one can assume if you spent, oh, let's say 3 years writing, composing, recording, mixing, producing, arranging designing, finally distributing and promoting a piece of music for instance, you may be a bit upset were I to take it and distibute all over the planet for free to everyone and not even tell you I did it and having done that by getting an illegal copy from someone else who is likely to have stolen it, you might then be upset.

Films and music while they seemingly just "appear," they are worked out harder and longer than almost form.

If you see this happening around you, get them to watch the annoucement above and should they carry on have them watch it again and get it into them that they need to exchange.

Question: What drug did Judy Garland die of an overdose from?
Answer: Star of The Wizard of Oz, her movie contract required she stay thin. To control her weight, she took prescribed psychiatric drugs known to cause suicidal tendencies and delirium. When her behaviour became erratic, psychiatrists prescribed electroshock and more drugs. She died of an overdose of psychiatric drugs.

Question: What form of "therapy" was Francis Farmer subjected to for 11 years?
Answer: A rising star of the 1930s, Francis Farmer’s career was cut short in 1943 when she was wrongfully declared mentally incompetent and committed to a series of asylums and public mental hospitals. She told of being “raped by orderlies, gnawed on by rats, poisoned by
tainted food, chained in padded cells, strapped in straitjackets and half drowned in ice baths.” After eleven years she was released and spent the remaining years of her life taking odd jobs. She died in 1970.

Question: What psychiatric drug had Kurt Cobain been prescribed because he was creative?
Answer: A highly creative child, Cobain was labelled “hyperactive” and prescribed Ritalin. According to Cobain “I turned to heroin to quench the re in my gut (stomach pain is a well-known side effect of Ritalin).” To counter the drug’s side effects, he was also given sedatives. Thirty-six hours after admission to a psychiatric rehab centre to kick his drug habit, Cobain ed to his home and shot himself. Heroin and Valium were found in his bloodstream.

Question: Which movie star was packed in ice to help her confusion?
Answer: Star of Gone with the Wind, Vivien Leigh contracted tuberculosis (a lung disease). The known side effects of her medication included confusion and psychosis. However, sent to a psychiatrist, she was institutionalized, packed in ice, given electroshock and later
prescribed psychotropic drugs. She died in 1967.

Question: Who had Marilyn Monroe seen before she committed suicide?
Answer: Marilyn had been seen by a psychoanalysis for years, Marilyn was referred to a psychiatrist who prescribed addictive drugs. On August 4th, 1962, she spent six hours with psychiatrist Ralph Greenson. The following day she was found dead of a drug overdose.

These are just a few of the artists which have been targets of psychiatric brutality and demoralization.

HUMAN RIGHTS
Something I feel very passionate about is Human Rights. As an artist I am interested in creating a better world - may sound airy fairy - but lets face it, what we are living in today is a rapidly declining civilisation: racism is rampant, torture, oh my God, take a look at any of the news papers and magazines and see what is happening.

I found a web site the other day on the fact that Tibetan Buddhsit monks are being tortured and killed just because of what they believe. Right 18. Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion.

What about all the crap that is going on the Middle East with the war??? Think that's a normal way of life? It's not, it's INSANE. It's a) murder, actually, just like the holocaust was complete and utter murder, genocide, and b) utterly violates human rights. Human Right 5. No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

Believe it or not each and every person have human rights. But what are human rights? Why are they so valuable. Well did you know you have the right to life? Did you know everyone has the right to education? Wow, what about little Joey who is forced to take mind altering psychiatric drugs otherwise he won't be allowed to attend school. That's pretty sick and I'll ahve more to say about that later. Did you know no one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honor and reputation? Check out the tabloids on that one.

HUMANITARIANS
If there were more people who stood up and disagreed with the "norm" of rampant human rights abuse, we would not be dealing with constant blood shed and tears. While John Lennon sang it in his song Imagine he put the dream there to be invisioned by all and to one day come to fruition. But obviously this won't happen unless people know they have human rights and actually do something about the lack of them.

The people that come to mind as the movers and the shakers in human rights are:

Martin Kuther King: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."

L. Ron Hubbard: "On the day when we can fully trust each other, there will be peace on Earth."

Mahatama Gandhi: "[nonviolence] The greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man."

David Miscavige: "The Aims of Scientology are a world without insanity, without criminals, without war, where the able can prosper and where Man is free to rise to greater heights. Also inherent in Scientology itself, is that one take responsibility, not only for himself, but the world at large. And absolutely no part of those efforts have anything to do with mere “belief” or “blind faith” in a doctrine. Rather, we use what we know to help others, and we couldn't care less about their race, creed, color or religion."

An intense, passionate speaker about human rights and the leader of the fastest growing religion on the planet. He speaks of the ills of society and the solution for them -- Scientology. If you actually look and check out what the Church of Scientology is doing, you may be surprised. For one, they are making human rights known about so that the rapid and incidious decline of mankind can be halted and reversed.
